MNKC welcomes the new year 2008 by having a picnic at Janda Baik, Pahang. Members started to gather at Petronas Tmn Melati (Near Arang & Fire Station) as early as 8.00am. Around 9.25am, about 11 cars began the journey towards Janda Baik via the KL-Karak highway where at the Gombak toll, Aloy finally join the convoy to make number of cars to 12. The convoy was smoothly lead by Azri and we all follow the speed limit ;D. We arrived at Janda Baik around 10.15am and settle down at a spot outside the D'Art resort. Shahrim and geng set-up a small canopy and started the BBQ. Those who cant wait for the BBQ started their meal by having nasi lemak brought by caren916 and specRnovus. Not to forget there are also meehon by Aloy, sandwiches by somebody ??? and many others. As usual, kids were the first to jump into the river. Fuuhhhhh....the water is so cold.......some of the kids already shivering ;D.
Then we called Capt Nas and all of us wished him happy birthday and sing a song to him ;D
"Macam-macam ada.." that's one phrase can describe this picnic. Lots of foods and drinks: BBQ of large prawns, chicken, beef, ikan bakar, burung puyuh, hotdog, potato wedges, potato fries, nasi lemak, sandwiches, rojak buah, sweets and snacks for the kids, mineral water, air sarsi, air laici etc etc
Fuhhh.....really tasty BBQ......thumbs up to azri for being the main chef for the day.....the beef so sweet and tender.....my wife gives you five stars ;D .......also not to forget Shahrim's guys as the support chefs! five stars!!!
After filling up our stomach, now its time to head to the river. Those went in the river early splashed water to those whom came in late. Some even brought in food or drinks, hoping they wont got splashed....but heck no way man....splash...splash....splash.....hahahaha no mercy.....among those got splashed were caren916, aloy, shahrim, gary, hally etc...hahahaha. Some members definitely wont forget the warmnest of Shahrim's coffee after got splashed by each other.
After two hours or so having fun at the river, some members went into the resort to clean up themselves. While packing mr prez received a call from Golddust that just got involved in an accident. Luckily it was not a seriuos one but members adviced him to make a police report.
Around 4.30pm or so, members started the journey back to KL.
